i generally don't like to talk politics to my friends because i may be the only "conservative democrat" among them. as much as i like democratic policies, i really dislike their views on government spending and taxing. it has gotten to the point where i almost identify with republicans more than i do with democrats. one of the big things i've always pointed out is that the current administration's plans always cut for more spending but coming up with less revenue (ie tax cuts, etc). this kind of mentality is the same reason there was the banking crisis, why thousands of americans lost their homes, why our country is in debt. when will we learn that you DON'T spend what you don't have. you don't spend based on what you think you'll rake in, you spend based on what you have. the same rules apply to the current president. he talked big, but still has failed to deliver on so many fronts. yes you can, fail miserably and put the USA into further turmoil.
i was reading yahoo! news articles and came upon this one. it sums up most of my thoughts in, well far more than a few words. obama = unpopular
