i can't believe that it's been well over a year since i started my journey into med school. i still remember helping deon plan mindy's b-day celebration last year. she is quite a sly one though, her fiance (deon) can't get anything past her. yesterday i went to the grocery store to buy supplies that i needed to contribute to min-day's b-day potluck. it was slighly surreal realizing that it's already been a year since the b-day flan we had last year and how come next year, i may not be doing my rotations at the same hospital with some of my closest friends for the past year. it seems that our closest bonds are built during times of adversity, ie trying to adjust to a "developing country" while doing well in medical school.
maybe i'm just weak, but i really am dredding not seeing my friends on a daily basis at the end 2010. ...please let time slow time not so i can have more time to study, but so i can share more memories with my friends...
